THE DOG COTTAGE COMPANY

We specialise in building beautiful, bespoke cottages for dogs. Our British designed and manufactured cottages are constructed from the finest quality materials and come complete with stunning cedar shingle or natural slate roofs.

Every cottage is fully insulated, heated and has exterior lighting, as well as fully opening glazed windows and doors, and a PetSafe dog door.

Not only do these cottages make your dog's life as comfortable as yours come rain, wind or snow, they are also a stunning addition to your garden.

The cottages come in four sizes (or can be made bespoke to fit your space) and are painted in the Farrow and Ball colour of your choice (please see our paint colour recommendations).

Our Services

All our dog cottages are built to the exact requirements of our customers and can include the following:

Heated and lit dog cottage

We begin with working with you to establish the size of dog cottage you need for your dog(s) and the space you have available to you

Bespoke colour and Roof finish

Our dog cottages are all finished to your exact requirements in terms of paint colour, roof finish (choice of Welsh slate or Cedar Shingle) and exterior lighting

Fencing (if required)

Many of our customers opt to have a run built around their cottage with either astroturf, grass or gravel base. We are happy to discuss options and costings

Matching Planters (if required)

We can provide matching planters to compliment your dog cottage (as can be seen on our Gallery page)

Walks in all weathers

There is real pleasure to be had in walking dogs in all of the seasons and seeing them enjoy the different types of weather we experience in England; be it a sunny farm walk, a windy beach walk, a snowy woodland walk or a lovely muddy puddle walk - your dog (like ours) probably loves them all!

On the days they come home wet, cold and muddy (which as we all know is plenty in the UK!) it is important for all of our dogs to have the ability to warm up and dry off straight afterwards. There are very few of us who want muddy dogs (and the accompanying wet dog odour!) in our 'human cottages' as soon as we return home but, with one of our heated dog cottages, your dog can retire to their own cosy home to warm up and dry off under their infrared heat lamp before they join you for quality time inside.

When any of us return from exercise on a cold or wet day we can experience an uncomfortable stiffening of the joints (from the muscles around them) that can even, in some cases, cause real pain. This is particularly true, of course, for dogs (and humans) with arthritis. The infrared heat source is perfect for ensuring your dog is warm, comfortable and totally looked after.
